How does seeing a Counsellor help?

As a Counsellor in Birmingham I am happy to meet face-to-face or we can Skype from anywhere in the world.

You know whamerry-go-roundt it’s like: ‘You feel really stuck and people are pushing your buttons!  ‘And you’ve tried everything you can think of to stop the merry-go-round.

We all have a past and sometimes it feels like we live more in the past than in the present.

Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!

Counselling is a safe way of exploring what happened to you and what is happening to you.iceberg counselling

A good counsellor will never let you forget who you are while you look into the past.

When we visit the past on our own – we almost always lose site of who we are.

How do I work as a Counsellor?

I have learned that it is important to ‘listen’, to be non-judgemental, to work ‘with’ my client.

We have ‘conversations’ and I ‘ask questions’ and I ‘listen’ – which means I will feed back to you what I think I have heard.

And so …wayne dyer quote

… together we discover the answers.

… together we have eureka moments!

… together we work until you know how you want to change your behaviours, thinking and beliefs.

… together we work until you have found the peace and understanding that you are seeking.

Bev Taylor, Counsellor in Birmingham

  • I am a qualified Counsellor graduating from the University of Birmingham.

  • I have practiced as a Counsellor in Birmingham for 12 years.

  • The work we do together will be tailored to suit your needs.

  • I believe the saying: a Counsellor is an expert in what works well for many people whilst the client is the expert on what will work well for them.  In short, this is ‘your time’.

  • I provide a caring and professional counselling service and all work undertaken is strictly confidential.  I treat the information that you disclose to me with great respect as I know it can be very difficult to take that first step into the counselling room.

I work in a private and confidential setting in Harborne, Birmingham.  Why not give me a call so we can talk about what’s bothering you.
